Bird Map
'Bird Map' was an interactive exhibition held at
fountain arts in Scunthorpe during April - May 2026.
Featuring 4 large scale artworks of local birdlife the work turned
the gallery into an immersive space giving its visitors opportunity to
observe the details of, and identify the birds that live around them.
The birds featured in the exhibition were:
Pigeon, Blackbird, House Sparrow, and Pied Wagtail.
All the birds had a small fact file and
soundscape available to the gallery visitors.

The exhibition contained an interactive activity designed for all ages and abilities encouraging the local people to actively pause and take a moment to connect with their local nature that existed right outside the gallery doors.
Incorporating a simplistic graphic map that covered a small accessible area, and a sticker pack in the activity meant that everyone could get involved.
